Make Money as a Blogger

These days blogging is no more something we do as a personal act, or using it as an online diary you update once in a while. People don't use it anymore to just share advice, but for business and making money on the the net. When you look at the acknowledged people that blog, you'll see they're very popular people and they have an income that has adjusted their life for good.

For the individuals that want to make money on the internet, blogging is a very good option. A lot of people that live off of their blogs income are just normal folks like you and me. They just wrote relating to things they found inteamusing and their blog just got better and better. At the end of the day they made additional blogs since they realised the success of their primary blogs, and now they most likely dont have to work again, ever.

There are some steps you need to follow in order to be able to begin blogging, I'll try and explain them in short steps and as clear as possible:



Step 1 - Try to find anything you want to write about

Before you start your blog, you'll have to think of anything you want to write about. There's millions of things you could write about, but I propose starting off with something you enjoy for yourself. Writing about something you have a passion for comes impulsively, and you'll find yourself enjoying it as well.

If you're a specialist in a particular area, you could write about that as well since there is steadily people looking for info, with this method you'll help others by sharing the info.

Step 2 - Creating the blog

When you've found something you want to write about, it's time to create the live page. You can look for free methods, but I propose you enter upon the more professional route, pay for actual hosting of your blog and getting an accurate domain name. Just google around you'll find a great deal. As for the platform, I suggest Wordpress, almost everyone uses it since it's so easy and it looks really neat.

Step 3 - Placing content on your blog

After you've installed wordpress, the site will be on the internet. Naturally it is an exciting moment, be fond of it, but theres additional things to do!

It's time to place some actual content on there! I suggest creating 3-4 posts before you put your blog out there for the world to see. This ensures that every visitant actually has some content to read and wont back out after seeing your empty wordpress blog. After making the initial posts, I advise updating it once or twice a week with amusing new content, don't copy and paste something you found on the internet, write it yourself, you can use a snippet from a news item or whatever, and write about it of course, that's no problem. doing this will make folks come back to your blog making it more interesting and bigger.

Step 4 - Advertising your page

Promoting your blog is the key to success as a blogger, what's a blog without anyone reading it, and how can you make any money off it? exactly, you can not. there are a lot of different methods to do this, you could post comments on related blogs, place your blog on directories, participate in discussions on forums etc. use your head!

If you have money to blow you could get direct and aimed traffic to your page using PPC (pay per click) methods provided by for example Google AdWords. These PPC programs are good for blogs that need instant traffic (if you're trying to sell something for example)

Step 5 - Gaining cash

When your blog has a consistent flow of visitors it is time to make some actual money. You have various choices when it comes to this, you can for example put Google AdSense ads on your page, which is a very easy thing to do with Wordpress. Every time a guest clicks on an ad you will aquire money.

Besides GoogleAdsense theres a some other networks you can sign up for, just search around and you will find them.

What you can also do is sell ad space directly to other people.

Another method is through affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing on a blog could take longer to see any results, and it's not a steady stream of income. It's worth experimenting with it though, as it could potentially make you a lot of cash. An effective method to do this is to place reviews of a certain product you want to promote.
